Restoration Click the link below to view a price list that is a rough guide for costs associated with a complete restoration, if the tractor to be restored had every major problem that we have seen in over 50 years of combined experience. The items on this list have been pulled from contracts that we have fulfilled in the past and represent approximations of the costs involved in restoring a Cub tractor. These prices are subject to change, since parts costs fluctuate over time. These costs also change with the make and model of a tractor as well. It is important to realize that the price list is by no means an exact set of guidelines, since every tractor has unique wear and tear that may not at first be evident. Similarly, any tractor that would require all of the work below might not be worth restoring unless it has special significance (i.e. sentimental value, extreme rarity, etc.) If, after looking over the list below, you have questions or comments, please contact us. *None of these prices are valid as a single job, since we factor in labor with all tasks (i.e. replacing a clutch would require much more work than $76.00 would procure, thus these prices reflect labor costs spread across a contracted restoration). Thus, some of these prices are also lowered when included in a restoration, dependent upon whether or not the same area needs extensive workreducing overall labor costs. *We have successfully repaired cracks in cast iron before, and will attempt to do so in most cases, unless the crack has worked completely through. The amount of work and material required for this repair varies greatly, as does the final cost to our clients. |

Customizations / Upgrades The next link leads to what we refer to as customizations or upgrades. While we admire and appreciate the engineering and design of most antique tractors, we have found room for major functional improvements. The examples outlined on the page available via the next link are priced for IH/Farmall Cubs, but the majority of them can be scaled up for other makes and models. Have you ever wished that your tractor/implement had an additional feature not listed on the following page? If so, contact us for custom fabrication of your idea. For example: we once heard a gentleman at a tractor show wish that his Cub had a closed-cabin station of some sort! We'd love to design and execute such an idea. While we enjoy complete, original equipment tractors, we also understand the need for functionality, reliability, and utility. When customizing or altering antique tractors, we keep three things in mind (in order of importance): 1. Safety, 2. Altering as little as possible (so that the tractor can easily be brought back to OEM appearance), and 3. Keeping costs as low as possible while still keeping 1. & 2. in the forefront. |
