The Longlane, LLC Shop/Office
|
The Longlane, LLC shop is an ever-changing place. With plans to add additional space and a constantly growing number of tools and equipment, our abilities to custom design and fabricate components regularly evolve. Currently, we have a wide variety of metalworking tools including: two drill presses, one milling machine, two lathes, stick and MIG welders, two oxygen propane torches, a plasma cutter, chop saw, band saw, a four foot metal brake, three air compressors, and numerous electric and air hand tools. Our paint and cleaning tools include a pressure washing/sand system that alleviates dust and the need for toxic chemicals, prevents metal from overheating during the blasting process, and a compressed air painting system that ensures a lustrous finish every time. We've just completed a new parts washer fabricated to accomodate an entire Cub torque tube, a V-8 block, or a full-size transmission, and an oversized blast cabinet is also completed. These tools all come together to form a shop manned by a father and son who work to produce some of the finest utility restorations currently available. Future tool purchases/fabrications include a planishing hammer, an english wheel, and a TIG welder to allow us to implement more exotic metals into custom frames and other metal work. If you are seeking a restorer for your tractor or automobile, please feel free to contact us. While we typically have a backlog of up to three jobs, we will consider new jobs on a case-by-case basis. If you ever find yourself in the Newberry, South Carolina area, feel free to call ahead for a visit to discuss your restoration or equipment needs. Since we live a short walk from the shop, we are always available to discuss and show tractors to prospective clients. |
